Everything is covered in this book- from the starlets having to perform their provocative scenes to the icon status that Jason Vorhees eventually became.

You'll read about the uncut special effects, the battles with the MPAA, and the continual frustration everyone had with that. Composer Harry Manfredini is given a lot of time to talk about his splendid musical contributions and the entire "selling of the franchise" to New Line Cinema is covered, all the way through the breakthrough box office success of FREDDY VS.

There's one crazy story after another and againeveryone in their own words revealing what really went down at least from their perpective from the beginning of the seriesand I found this book to be thoroughly dramatic and engrossing, wishing it would've gone on even longer, if you can believe that! I want MORE!

Firstly I have to say that before purchasing this ebook I wasn't a fanatical Friday The 13th fan. I had seen most of them but considered myself more a Texas Chainsaw Massacre guy. Still do but what a great read this Crystal Lake Memories ebook was.

I'm not sure I've ever read anything so comprehensive. Whilst reading this I've actually gone back and watched a few of the films again and it makes the experience so much more enjoyable. The only minor criticism very minor I have is I would've liked it if the TV series was touched on a bit more.

Congratulations to Peter M. Bracke for this outstanding book or ebook in my case and even if you're only remotely interested in Friday The 13th and Jason Voorhees I doubt you'll be disappointed reading such a great book.

Peter Bracke did an excellent job putting together this behind the scenes chronicle of arguably the most popular, controversial, and longest running horror franchise in cinematic history. From candid, unprecedented, and humorous interviews with hundreds of cast, crew, producers, and directors you'll discover secrets and the history of how this franchise got started and why it got to be so popular for over a quarter of a century.

I recommend it highly to every Friday the 13th movie fan. Acesse a Amazon.

It was a copy of "Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th," and I yelped, quite audibly, muttered a nice long chorus of "coooooool," and sat down to see what this massive tome had to offer.

And let me tell you longtime gorehounds something: This book has a LOT to offer. Weighing in at nearly five pounds, swollen with over pages and photographs, measuring a healthy 9 x 12 coffee-table book standard, and packed to the blood-soaked rafters with absolutely everything you'd ever want to know about the Friday the 13thseries, "Crystal Lake Memories" is, quite simply, one of the finest books I've ever seen.

Keep in mind that this is coming from a guy who, as a kid, devoured the Friday the 13th movies as if they were crack-laced pop-tarts.

Reminiscent of a book that'd be put together for something like The Godfather or Citizen Kane, "Crystal Lake Memories" is simply all the Jason-fans will ever need.

Well, this book and the DVDs, obviously. Bracke has put together here.

If the author's name sounds familiar, then you're probably someone who used to read DVDFile back when Pete ran that particular ship. I mean, wow. And that's not even one-third of the participants. And if you recognized at least half of those names, then you are precisely who this book was written for.

You remember the goofy cop from the first Friday and the tubby banana-eating hitchhiker from Part 4?
